Why consider hiring a lactation consultant?
Hiring a lactation consultant can be a game-changer for new mothers navigating the challenges of breastfeeding. My goal is to bring my knowledge and experience while providing personalized support to your family. Breastfeeding, although natural, can come with it’s own complications. My goal as your provider is to focus on your feeding goals, identify your concerns and work with you to quickly and efficiently resolve the issue.

What can I expect from an in-home breastfeeding consult?
During our breastfeeding consultation, I will review your intake form, health history, birth, and feeding history. I will observe a breastfeed (or feed) and, if needed, weigh your infant before and after the feed to determine milk transfer. Next, we’ll conduct an oral assessment on your infant, including an evaluation of the suck strength and function of the tongue. My goal during this visit is to identify possible problems and their underlying causes. Together, we’ll create a mutually agreed-upon plan of care, which includes resources and handouts, and I will assist you in connecting with any necessary referrals.
Every baby and feeding journey is unique. This visit will be fully customized to address your goals, concerns, and questions. I am committed to helping you achieve your feeding goals.

The Perfect Gift Package
Not sure what gift you should get the new parents-to-be? Do they really need another set of onesies, you ask yourself? If only you could give them the gift of sleep, dinner cooked, or a clean house while they enjoy their new baby.
This package was specially curated, knowing that friends and family want to gift something that will truly help the new parents, but aren’t sure how they can offer support in a meaningful way.
This specialty package provides 8 hours of postpartum/newborn support. These hours will be provided in increments of 4 hours at a time. This special includes 2 days of support whenever the new parents are ready for my help.
Hi, I’m Nicole
I am a maternity nurse, lactation consultant (IBCLC) and prenatal instructor. I worked on the maternity unit welcoming babies into the world for most of my nursing career until I had my precious little boy in 2020. Although my son was the best thing that has ever happened to me, his arrival, and the postpartum period with him really shook up my life. Two months after his birth, the world went into full shutdown for the pandemic. It was at this time I learned how important a village was because mine was stripped away. After the first year of my motherhood experience, I realized it can be one of the most isolating and lonely times in a parent’s life. And I know that’s hard to talk about, because while we absolutely adore our children, and love parenthood, sometimes it just sucks (and that’s okay). I knew there was something I could do to help new mothers who don’t have that village. Whether you are having feeding issues, dealing with lack of support, or just needing someone who “gets it” we all deserve support and community in this new season of life. My mission and reason for creating The Village, is to support you.
It takes a village to raise a child, but it also takes a village to support a mother
