Hi, I'm Nicole
Hi, I’m Nicole Major, a Registered Lactation Consultant in Grande Prairie, dedicated to helping moms with breastfeeding and postpartum care. As the owner of The Village, my mission is to support parents through the challenges of early motherhood.After years of working as a postpartum/maternity nurse, I welcomed my own son into the world and started a new chapter of my life: motherhood. I thought I would be prepared, considering I taught new parents what to do with their newborns on the daily. But once I became a mother to a very colicky newborn, who never slept, in the middle of a pandemic I really learned just how vital it is to have “A VIllage” yet that village can be hard (if not impossible) to find. It became my mission and dream to create a safe, supportive place for new parents who need extra support in this challenging time of their lives. As a Registered Lactation Consultant in Grande Prairie, I am here to be your village.

At The Village, we believe that motherhood is a journey—one filled with joy, love, and, let’s be real, a good dose of chaos. I am here to support you and your family on the good days, but most importantly the bad days. Because let’s face it: parenting can be tough, and no one really talks about how hard it can be (seriously, where’s the manual?).
